4 Silent Signs of Brain Tumor

Stubborn headaches

There is no clear-cut type of a headache that can forecast whether or not the person having a brain tumor. The way to analyze is to be on the lookout for a new daily stubborn headache that won’t seem to go away or do not respond to any treatment. These headaches are often present when you wake up in morning and tend to worsen over time. These stubborn headaches depend upon the size or growth rate of the tumor of the brain.

Loss of vision
Patients experience blurred or double vision due to the tumor present on or near to the optical nerve. Including this other types of brain tumor cause abnormal eye movements and make changes or loss of vision, depending on the size and location of the tumor.  This symptom often sees a pituitary tumor that compresses chiasm, or part of the visual pathway.  Brain tumor or cancer is just one of many surprising disease eye doctors can diagnose first.

Infertility and Hormonal disorders
The whole system of the body is pretty much controlled by the brain, including the production and regulation of hormones. As we know the pituitary gland located at the base of the brain which plays a vital role in the production of the hormone. Tumors within this area affect the pituitary gland which causes the overproduction of hormone or prevent the normal gland from working. This is why many women suffering from a brain tumor are unable to conceive or produce milk after giving birth.

Weakness and lethargy
The brain tumor affects the certain area of the motor cortex of the brain which is responsible for balance, coordination, and movement throughout the body. The left motor cortex controls the left side of the body & vice versa. Due to the tumor, these signals are completely disrupted & the result is the loss of function. Weakness of facial muscles may result from a tumor within the cranial nerves. Because of this brain tumor, people may not feel the pain in the limbs, but left or right leg or arm may not respond the way the person desire.

  1. If the tumor has not spread, surgery may be able to cure the patient. However, it is not always feasible to know if the cancer has spread or not before surgery. An experienced tumor treatment surgeon in Gurgaon will probably remove lymph nodes near the tumor (sentinel nodes) during surgery to examine if the cancer has spread to them.
